Welcome to Marlatt Elementary, home to the Mustangs! We are excited to partner with more than 400 kindergarten to fifth grade students and their families for an adventurous year filled with learning, growthand connections. With research-based momentum, Marlatt’s priorities include support around three trajectory-transforming themes:
- Belonging: create a climate for learning to activate students’ ability to excel.
- Consistency: deliver consistently solid teaching and grade-level content for each student.
- Coherence: build a unified instructional program and setting clear priorities.
Belonging is the foundation of our work and part of our motto that has been around for decades: “Marlatt, where everyone belongs.” We are known as a flagship school community where every student feels welcomed, valued, challenged and supported. Our dedicated educators are committed to creating a culture that fosters curiosity, builds confidence and inspires a lifelong love of learning.
Consistency means each student has access to quality instruction and engaging learning experiences. Our educators work collaboratively to use evidence-based practices, maintain high expectations and provide support needed to grow. High-quality instructional materials and consistent learning experiences help students build confidence and make steady progress.
Coherence ensures that our work is aligned around a shared vision for student success with positive behavioral instructional supports (PBIS) and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). We are committed to a unified instructional program with clear processes that connect teaching, learning, balanced assessments and support systems. Our collaborative approach helps create seamless learning experiences and ensures we are focused on what is best for students.
Marlatt is a community where students demonstrate responsibility, respect, and resilience as we learn and grow together. We also know that families are essential partners in this work. Please stay connected by attending family events, volunteering when possible, and reaching out whenever you have questions or ideas. A strong school-to-home partnership makes a difference in every student's educational experience.
Together, we will create an environment where every Mustang feels safe, connected, challenged and empowered to achieve their personal best. Thank you for entrusting us with your student’s education. We are honored to be part of the journey forward.
