Welcome to Marlatt Elementary School. We are so excited that you are a part of our school community! Here at Marlatt, we live by the motto, “Marlatt, where everyone belongs.”
Marlatt Elementary is a kindergarten through fifth grade school with an enrollment of approximately 420 students. In addition to the core content areas, student learning opportunities are extended through STEM, art, music, computer lab, library, and physical education classes. Marlatt also offers additional learning opportunities before and after school including the Marlatt Music Machine Choir, Extended Day Learning (EDL), Green Team and Leadership Team.
At Marlatt, students are always treated with respect and valued for their individual differences. We use the best instructional strategies and differentiate our instruction. Teachers and staff at Marlatt work together using MTSS guidelines to create a system that provides support and opportunities for each student to be successful.
Marlatt is well known for its history of parent involvement and I am excited to partner with such a dedicated group of parents. I hope each of you consider taking an active part in our Site Council and/or PTO. Your visitations are always welcomed at Marlatt, whether simply observing in a classroom or volunteering your time. As a parent, you are your child’s first teacher and are considered a vital part of our team!
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns throughout the school year. We are looking forward having amazing year together!
Sincerely,
Sheila Henke
